Christmas Holiday 2025 Gift Guide

I am so excited to share this post. So here is the structure that I am working with: gifts I have received and loved (bookish), gifts for her, gifts for him, items for the kids. Let’s dive right in.

Bookish Gifts

I was gifted the Q & A Day: 5 Year Journal by my former co-worker in 2018 and I used that journal from 2019 to 2023 and I wished looking back that I used it more during the COVID years but yeah we were all just trying to survive a pandemic. But this is one of my absolute favourite gifts.

Now 2018 was really a great year because that was the year I also got my Kindle. Now my Kindle is a 10th generation and I still love it and it works well. Hint: if you get someone a Kindle get them a case too.

And of course, your book loving friend will want and appreciate more books. Ask them who their favourite authors are and buy them a new or recent release. Or gift them one of your favourite books in a genre they love to read. Find out what their most anticipated books of 2025 were and give them those.

Gifts For Her

I discovered (yep using that word) Phlur on TikTok this year and I feel in love with Vanilla Skin. I got and used the Paradise Trio set this summer that had Vanilla Skin, Beach Skin and Beach Skin and I think the Decadent Layering Set is perfect for the holidays. Now, I want this for myself – hint, hint, anyone reading you know yourself. And if anything, I buy it for myself in a few weeks. This set has Vanilla Skin, Vanilla Smoke and Heavy Cream.

I have a Katee leather crossbody bag and I don’t need another one but this one is cute for running errands and everyday use.

Now these were trending on TikTok right before summer and I must say they appeared universally flattering, so maybe get her the Clinique Almost Lipstick Tinted Balm trio.

Things to get locally could include perfume sets that over USD $100 that you may not want to pay duties on, new jewellery or designer purse, tote, luggage sets, etc.

For Him

Men, what to get him. That is a struggle every year especially if it is the type to say he doesn’t want or need anything but here are some options.

Watches – Relic by Fossil or Kenneth Cole

Wallets

Grooming kits

Leather backpack

Other ideas that you could like get locally and that are more affordable – weight considerations and duties are a PS5, travel luggage, dumbbell sets for some ideas.

Christmas Gifts for Kids

The little ones get there own category. Because why not?

Babies

Babies first Christmas and what to get the littlest one, something tactile like the beines baby books.

Toddlers

Get the toddles – ages two to four something they can interact with but won’t be hurt by like this wooden tools set or camera

Small Kids

For kids 5-10 they need to be engaged but still have fun and Legos are a great option, so are books and puzzles.

Tweens

I am not a parent so I might get this wrong but if I recall my tween years they were complicated and fun and filled with wonder, encourage your tween to explore their thoughts and dreams and ambitions. Let them read widely and a tablet may be a great option for them. I won’t think any because it depends on which operating system your family prefers.. But a tablet with access to a library or e-reader is great.

Teen Boys and Teen Girls

Maybe at 15 or 16 they can get their first phone, maybe. That is totally a parenting decision but that is something you can source locally. But also consider personal items they may be drawn to based on their personal interests whether that is art or literature, cooking, science and STEM, sports or music. You know your kid. And at this age, simply ask what they want and if you can afford it, get it.

Books again. Yep. No matter the age range or interests of your kids, encourage them to read and read widely. There is a book for every type of reader, every child, at every reading level with whatever interest and age appropriateness. Get your children some books this holiday.

A Note for Jamaican Shoppers

I will say this to my fellow Jamaicans if you took my advise at the beginning of November and made your Christmas shopping spending plan and created your gift list then use these ideas as inspiration or shop the links added and get your items early before the December rush.

I hope this helped someone or inspired you a bit.

Looking forward to the holidays.

Be well until next time we chat.
